Power Park Student Accommodation is a modern residential development situated in Power Park, Soweto, within close proximity (approximately 10 minutes walking distance) to the University of Johannesburg, Soweto Campus. The facility is designed to provide safe, comfortable, and functional student living.
The development comprises 138 beds accommodated in shared units, each fitted with kitchenettes, en-suite showers, and dedicated study desks to support both living and academic needs. Supporting infrastructure includes a communal dining area, laundry facilities, secure parking, and 24-hour security, ensuring a conducive environment for student well-being, learning, and social interaction.
Scope of Work – Maninga Engineering
Maninga Engineering was appointed to deliver the Fire Detection, Plumbing, and Electrical services for the project. The scope included:
- Fire Detection Systems: Design, supply, installation, and commissioning of compliant fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with relevant safety standards.
- Plumbing Services: Installation of domestic water supply, drainage systems, and sanitary fittings to ensure efficient and reliable service delivery.
- Electrical Services: Provision of electrical reticulation, lighting, power distribution, and associated infrastructure to meet operational and safety requirements.
All works were executed in line with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications, ensuring quality, safety, and long-term reliability of the installed systems.
